We have been shipping furniture domestically and internationally for 20 years and are experienced in the proper handling of antiques.
Most of our furniture weighs more than the 150 pounds or maximum size limit allowed by UPS or USPS. Given these limits and the need to properly handle our furniture, we use a white glove freight company with over 30 years of experience. Freight Shipping is the safest and most affordable form of coast-to-coast transportation. They will blanket wrap, freight, insure, deliver and remove all packing materials. Prior to arrival, they will call to schedule a delivery time with you.
Shipping time frame and price estimate:
Upon receipt of payment, shipping will be arranged. It usually takes 15 to 20 business days for the freight company to deliver after they pick up the item from our store (they usually deliver every 1-2 weeks). If you live on the East Coast, delivery time will be closer to 20 business days. We work hard to find shippers with the fastest routes for our customers, but we have no control over their routes (or changes) once the shipment is "on the road".
Smaller items:
For smaller purchases, we typically use UPS or FedEx Ground to get the best price and shortest delivery time. Delivery/arrival time is 1-2 weeks.
International Delivery:
We coordinate worldwide deliveries for our customers. Please provide us with your complete shipping address and we will provide you with at least 2 shipping quotes. Due to time differences, international quotes take approximately 2-3 days to receive. Please let us know if your shipment must be delivered to your door or if you can pick it up at the nearest port to minimize costs.
